How do you deal with what is different?
Have you ever heard about someone who was judged because of their appearance, age, social class, gender, etc?
Unconscious bias are prejudices incorporated into our daily lives and they affect our actions and judgments. In other words, they are beliefs that were incorporated to our unconscious and that reflect on our behavior so naturally that we don’t even question why we act like we do – untill now!
To deconstruct these beliefs and transform the environment around us into a more diverse and inclusive space, we need to exercise awareness of our biases. See how:
- • Put yourself in the other’s shoes before any judgment
- • Know and understand more about the theme
- • Express your diversity
- • Value self-development
Take some time to think about how you have been dealing with your relationships and how you can improve.
